Administrative Support Assistant
During my time at Urology of Virginia, I initially focused migrating a flow of paperwork into a digital trail and maintaining accurate system updates. This involved converting manual records into an organized digital format, making processes more accessible and improving data management. By implementing these changes, I enhanced the efficiency and reliability of the organization’s information systems, eliminating redundancies and reducing errors. My careful attention to detail ensured that patient records and administrative data were consistently accurate and current, contributing to a more modern and effective operational framework. This process included working extensively with the Epic platform, ensuring that all data migration and updates were seamlessly integrated into the organization’s electronic health records system.
As my role evolved, I transitioned to more hands-on responsibilities within the medical realm, which allowed me to deepen my impact on patient care. This included performing urinalysis, where I operated, maintained, and serialized laboratory equipment to guarantee precision and reliability in diagnostic results. My technical expertise ensured the laboratory functioned at an optimal level, supporting the organization’s broader goal of delivering high-quality healthcare services.
